In the Aftermath of Blight
Voracious, sprawling vermin Proud pioneers of large scale slaughter. So self-absorbed, So obsessed, With our own reflection. We bombed our way To blissful oblivion. Neverending blood curse. Neverending blood thirst. Unbridled insanity. So self-absorbed, So obsessed, With our own reflection. We bombed our way To blissful oblivion. Fire and rubbles as far as the eye can see. What a sick twist of fate. What a senseless rat race. We die for a senseless rat race. Compliant as we were, Paved the way to ruin.

Third trumpet resounds. A great star has fallen. Burning like a torch, Struck the waters. A vengeful God to blame. As Wormwood poisons, A curse it must be. For all guilty hands Are as pure as lambs. Plague pours from the rivers, Disregarded, meaningless. For what once was life Is now horror, is now death. As Wormwood poisons, A curse it must be. For all guilty hands Are as pure as lambs Judgment day, reeks of festering wound A state of total disrepair. As we poison waters, For a chunk of change. What a miracle, what a prodigy. For man has touched the divine, Surpassed scriptures in devastation.

A fleeting moment. A last breath Lost in a void. Numb, blood frozen. Drift away through motions. Holding words within. Upright through gusts of wind. Until the surface cracks. Like a piss poor paint job. Caught in a daze, Son of no one. Words echo in bleak blackness. A painful path to guidance.

Paranoid delusions. A sickening absence of sense. On flashing screens Such fateful words appear. Look and despair Nothing Besides Remain. For I Am Man. King of kings, Yet shadows in a wasteland. Masters and slaves, We waste away. In obsidian towers Everyday, just the same. Stockpile and devour Before tomorrow ends. Time will carry on. Sweep through the land, Across the oceans, As the universe goes on.
