Suppression of Faith
From beyond, until today, and tomorrow, it will not change From beyond the mist of time flows the blood in our veins Striving for perfection all knowledge to seek Constantly evolving, carving history Pushing forward, advancing, scoring the seas Shaping the world, the way it should be Nature has given us the will to survive Our fathers have shown us the way to arise Through scorchin sun and blindin snow they worked in the fields They toiled 'til they bled for the crop they could yield Drivin hard the rain it came, but babes they must be fed No day off for the sick no place they could beg When the clans grew restless, the wars they soon spread On land and on sea many millions bled But there's no greater honour than the sacrifice In defence of the blood they laid down their lives We remember and honour , all those from beyond Who safely crossed the burning bridge and stood welcomed Conviction of strength has true blessings Hand upon heart, blood upon metal Hero's are made by their deeds, not their legends All they achieved left for us as a lesson From beyond When I think of those days, I feel inspired By the beauty of nature, by the mystery of fire To live with the land, to live by your steel It all seems so natural, it all seems so real Not facing the problems that we face today Just working together to survive another day Standing side by side, fighting for victory To ensure our survival, and our legacy

I know it don't belong to the flag of my country I squirm and itch 'cos I don't fit this democracy Where I live is like a foreign soil to me My heart and soul is back in '33 The air I breathe is impure and diseased The streets I walk are overcrowded and unclean A so called better world I just cannot see My heart and soul is back in '33 Like the kings new clothes only fools can see The eye of the beholder can be tamed by The eye of the beholder can be trained by greed Tell a lie often enough and it'll be believed Keep life fast and tough, no time to stop and see This suppression of faith! Nothing much in common with the sheeple that I meet Don't understand their lack of values or morality I'm living in a world where man has been machined Oh, take me heart and soul back to 1933 Like the kings new clothes only fools can see The eye of the beholder can be tamed by The eye of the beholder can be trained by greed Tell a lie often enough and it'll be believed Keep life fast and tough, no time to stop and see This suppression of faith!

We must rise above these common criminals Who would use us for their own ends, shipwreckers for wealth (Stay right there! I'm gonna tell ya all about it!) (Keep listenin') Our gift, at times, a heavy stone, but we must not lose sight And hold tight to the values that we hold dear to life An age old trick before war is waged, replace the eggs with their own fakes Those on the make, bite the bait, their skin now breaks to reveal their scales We have seen them come, crowned upon their thrones Obsessed with their own glory in a non-existant glow (Why don't you think about it?) (Do you get it yet?) We have seen them come, we have seen them go, dissolve, melt away without a trace These stirrers of the troubles that we are left to face (But I've seen ya'll) An age old trick before war is waged, replace the eggs with their own fakes Those on the make, bite the bait, their skin now breaks to reveal their scales Sink their fangs into everything, to poison us from within our faith Servant, serpent, obedident slave, agent provocateur, pet rattlesnake! As times your pride gets in the way But you never really lose If you don't play their games If you don't sing their tunes (Yeah, your're gonna watch it black man) What sometimes seems like action can be a trap that makes things worse There just ain't no quick solution, stay wary and alert! An age old trick before war is waged, replace the eggs with their own fakes Those on the make, bite the bait, their skin now breaks to reveal their scales Sink their fangs into everything, to poison us from within our faith Servant, serpent, obedident slave, agent provocateur, pet rattlesnake! We must rise above these common criminals Who would use us for their own ends, shipwreckers for wealth

A great man has gone, a new war begun Kin fighting kin, it's blood against honour It sickens me, and it saddens my soul Have the thorns of our rose grown outta control? All dignity stripped away and our unity torn And I am but a voice caught up in this storm When something is broken, you gotta at least try to fix it I feel I owe it to that man anyway Stop chasing your tails, they make you do it just to amuse them They've got you where they want, you're ruled by confusion Too scared to show doubt? Even though you've figured it out Just keep saying "yes" so they won't come for you And when my blood's shed and you turn away and close your eyes I'll bleed for you, as the guilty walks by When something is broken, you gotta at least try to fix it I feel I owe it to that man anyway Time was, I remember Ian, you told us to shine Though ground in the dust I'm still gonna try! So they can tear at my feelings and stab at my soul But they won't tame the spirit that left their hearts long ago You see, I judge a man by his deeds and what my own eyes see And you ain't gonna play me for the fool no more We are not pets, to be fed that do tricks when they're told So leave us alone, we are the independant voice, we're not here to be owned!

When we were young I thought you had it all, at least it seemed that way to me I didn't realise that you give it all up for a life of misery You got caught at an early age and oh I've seen it all before You said that you could "handle it", that it was "fun" and nothing more Erosion of your senses In a chain of consequences I can't forget the friend you were, but you don't see the shame The only thing that drives you now is more poison for your brain There's a vacant expression across your face as you smile and say "it's cool" But the person you were is gone for good and left behind a shallow tool I suppose you think that it's romantic, breakin' into old people's flats? To steal from people's cars and houses? To feed your habbit laying on your back? You've lost touch with the reality, sometimes you screamed, sometimes you cried But my friend had long since gone, long before the "junkie" died

The degradation is here, the conspiracy is clear The people close their eyes, to the crime and the lies While the nation drowns in tears The corruption has set in, dis-information being beamed in The protests are hushed, all resistance is crushed Are we gonna let them win? 24 hour bullshit Big brother transmits to you, an agreeable attitude You're so naive, ready to believe, everything they fed to you You digest it with such a ease, this acceptance, your disease You sit up and beg as they fill up your head With the way that you should be 24 hour bullshit Did someone say "freedom of speech"? Is my tune at number 1 this week? Official guidelines, monopoly rules Same old garbage every channel you choose Only music for the sheep on the radio Programming the minds and keeping them closed Electronic jibbering forced to the youth With no-one allowed to speak the truth! Receiving all that they send from your invisible friend Piped into your home, or on the open road Dictates the latest trends Dependent in every way, your companion for work, rest and play They communicate, the choice of the state, 24 hours a day 24 hour bullshit

They gave them bullets, they gave them guns With a tear in their eyes, mothers waved off their sons Brave young men, all honest and true A foreign adventure, the right thing to do They told them all stories, sent them to frontlines Whilst generals all sat with their cigars and wine They taught them to fight, they gave them pay But many young soldiers was heard to say We fought in the trenches, we fought in the sand We gave our all, we stood man for man And they never questioned, or asked how we died They just sat back in parliament and decided our lives The food it was tasteless, the rain never stopped But loyal they were to the flag raised aloft The orders came forward, advance at first light The sound of the shells, echoed on through the night The charge was sounded, they answered the call Young soldiers watched as their brothers fell For ten feet of land, 10 000 lay dead And the generals just shrugged and they all shook their heads They fought in the trenches, they fought in the sand They gave their all, and stood man for man And no-one never questioned, or asked how they died They just sat back in parliament and decided our lives They fought in the trenches, they fought in the sand They gave their all, and stood man for man And no-one never questioned, or asked how they died They just sat back in parliament and made up more lies! Some soldiers were lucky, they only lost legs Or eyes, or hands, but at least they could beg Proud men and women forced onto the streets No chance of a future and no food to eat Many an old soldier asked "What's it all for?" "I don't want to fight in this brothers war!" They were thrown into cells, protests swept away Has anything changed, when you look at today? They fought in the trenches, they fought in the sand They gave their all, and stood man for man And no-one never questioned, or asked how they died They just sat back in parliament and decided their lives They marched to the beat of stick upon drum They followed pied piper, wherever he beckoned Trusting in all, and some who survived Looked around them, and asked - Why?

There is waste, forced onto you, choices took away, but you can bare no blame A chipped diamond still a precious stone who'll return the piece of you they take? There is waste, done on to you, you can't undo, all that you can not be, now's the shame All your dreams left un-pursued, left behind, somewhere the real you, someplace Even those on death row, they gloat and re-create Free to re-live their crimes, whilst for death the wait But these scars cut to deep, this pain will not heal Their death won't restore the hopes that they steal There is fear, you try to hide and like a haunting, it creeps up again Fight for control of your mind, scars upon your thoughts, bleed deep in your veins There is fear, that screams inside and a torment, twisting endless pain What justice really fits the crime? They destroy and do they ever really pay? There is pain, that's there for sure, locked away, somewhere, inside, someplace Each day's the same, lost all alone, you act your part and don't expose a trace There is pain, that has no cure to cut your life, won't cut short your pain All the same you must endure, forced to watch the guilty walk to freedom again And again, and again, and again!

Oh, her colours are down, looking drained and unwashed now The hot sun turns her green to brown, this summer heat that warms me now And so I walk her beaten tracks with this rays upon bare back Along the track next to the stream, grateful for the cooling breeze Outside in her open air, I thank her for every breath that's there For every time she struggles with the pain, poisoned and dumped on, once again She grows back through all the worst, pushing up through scorched black earth Strong relentless with will to survive, passed on to her children with envigoured new life Her beauty has more colours , more colours than her rainbows More shades than chrome, more shades than her sun's glow I salute the ground at my feet whilst she stands firm, so do we She moves me down deep inside my soul, her beauty is the very essence of life Hear her offspring in the fields, until death they never yield A fight to survive, it's natures way as was intended, from first day To be born, and surely tested so only strong might be selected Earth mother, you know that it's true, all teds blood is spilled for you

Should the darkness fill my eyes I will die as a viking dies They'll find me when my fight is done When the gods reclaim a chosen son Bear me home Over the foam In my battle attire In my funeral pyre Let the fire arise and flame the day And right royally I pass away Seaward gale Swell the sail 'Til the deep afar Shines a mighty star When Valhall's walls shall ring A welcome to the warrior king
