The Prisoner
In a world of unknown pleasures, of agony and pain Desires that I've never known have come to be my strain Stuck in ceaseless hunger for blood and anguished cries In a scent of woe tangled up, entranced and mesmerized Maliciously, I gallivant throughout the fog of tears Seeking out and suppress the chanting and the cheers Dystopic in my nature, blithe about ill repute Spiteful eyes prowl the alleys, searching for dispute Apostle of disobedience, violence, and war Downfall and destruction, nothing pleases me more Is there a fire in my head Or is the world standing in flames? Through eyes of blue, I see red And I'm looking for someone to blame In this cage of torment they call society I've been beaten and deprived of my humanity Down the banks of labor, I sacrificed my dreams Bound, but not eternally, working their machines At night I dream of fire, riot, and mutiny Release the Armageddon, chaos, set me free Is there a fire in my head Or is the world standing in flames? Through eyes of blue, I see red And I'm looking for someone to blame Death is the solution, our lives the only fee Prisoners of hatred, never to be free Eternal slavery, eternal slavery Eternal slavery, eternal slavery
