The Gates of Nether
[Spoken word] At long last I have reached the end The gates beckon me, in all their glory. I stand here, a man - not a father, not a brother, not a friend Am I even a man? Might this be the beginning? I see a lifetime, or perhaps many lifetimes Were they worth living? I see many choices Right or wrong, would they have always lead to this? Perhaps this is a return? It does feel like going homeward... In all its torturous glory, may I see a home?

[Spoken word] Infinte sands, each grain a scalding memory. I wonder at the arenaceous kaleidoscope of eternity. Surely, this cannot be the result of one lifetime? All of this painful persisting perseverance. All of this brilliant beauty beyond belief. For whose eyes is this? Prophecy must be at play... Looking back, I cannot recall the course which I have taken. Am I lost or was I never on a path to begin with? This travelling burdenless recalls a retreat. Are my steps merely a form of defiance? An imposed pilgrimage would burden any soul. Yet... I feel light as a feather. Perhaps I might have been discarded? No longer needed in this dichotomy everlasting...

[Spoken word] Witnessing every form of creation, I am now in black, In void. My thoughts escaping and returning, They exult in my company. I wonder if they are even my own... No matter, as piercing through the abyss I see it staring. A colossal image, an avatar,a form... Of everything that was ever written. Of everything that was ever spoken. And so I ever wonder, is this my own? Is this me? I see the sun once again. Every devotee smiling back at me, joining in song. What do you intend to show me? Must my eyes burn for revelation? Must my ears deafen for gnosis? Perhaps my reimmersion into the land of the sands be more fruitful this time...

[Spoken word] I have walked with eternity. But I have long wondered... What is a pilgrimage without its destination? A cycle needs an end... The everlasting sands... gone. In their place, an unknown gratuitous display of advancement. This foreign landscape... I can no longer see, no longer hear, no longer feel. For all I have seen, heard, felt, I can no longer be bound to ignorant bliss. I have walked, graced by every question and I have become the embodiment of answer. Wearing every name and every face, ever-transient, I am home. With no head to lay here, I can only weep. I am home.
