Broken Vessel

Foraging forgotten wastes at edges of the wood, Roam beyond the birthing place I've left behind for good. Exoskeleton is shattering with every step I take, I revel in my shedding skin, the dawning of the snake. I am the Broken Vessel, Long have I ignored, The cracks that crawl across my skin, And long to be reforged. I will restore this vessel, I will fight tooth and nail, I will become unbreakable, The iron flesh prevails. Sing in me Poseidon, my new form now reveal, By the anger of Achilles may my body scar and heal, Just like the crustacean, evolve now and ascend, The weight I feel upon my back is just my growing wings
