World Beyond Grief
My quest at an end, or so I thought Time stolen in the cruelest way Cursed with the memory Of those passed to the sky Cursed with the memory Of time passed in a void Searching for the end I cease to hear, my throat drawn shut My sight fades, my path grows dim Cursed again, my body aches Condemned to this skeletal form Cursed to roam this cryptic land Forever... A lost and kindred soul approaches In his embrace I have lost meaning Cursed again by his betrayal Cursed to know this will never end O! Great Forest Spirit! Why have you rotted and withered away? O! Impish child! You lost your way

I saw you dancing on the stone The field was silenced in awe I felt each movement with the weight of the night The face I last saw, never was again Foolish to think you'd grace my vision, just once more The fear of your absence I felt each moment with the weight of the moon Flowers rained from above And so the weight of eternity Became too much to bare Forced from this world, you were All that ever was But will never be again And so I will carve your farewell song on your grave Hoping our paths cross on a brighter day

A creature doused in moonslight Your eyes bled like the sky As she passes over our heads Each night consumed by mourning Twilight waits to devour daylight These beasts of transitory light Warn us of our fate The moon grimacing in fear The sun looks away and sheds a tear Knowing the fate of this love Is it possible to accept time taking its final toll? I've died a hundred times and I'll die a thousand more If this must come to pass then I'll lay here on the floor And confess my love to the sky Forevermore...

"You greet me with fear and I know not why I am the bringer of your tides The light in your night sky Now from my ancient, barren oceans Flow mighty tears "Gaze upon my sorrow as I descend upon your lowered heads This entity that grips my core Starves the tides I am forced from the sky to which my heart belongs You fear my gaze Oh how I fear I will forever descend And join with the mother stone "Your land of death and mourning You may fear me But you don't fear for me as I fear for you Numb your fear if you wish For by its wishes I must consume... Consume... Consume everything!"

I'm dying in a distant corner of the world I feel as if the heart I possess Has bled into the veins of leeches You have seen me encased in ice Heart barely breathing Skin clung to bone You have seen the ghost of my lover In the shadow of the sea And yet you lament the weight of the moon? You, the bearer of lost souls? Cast yourself as an effigy to those departed And lie in wait for another to assume the role

In this house where we said goodbye To those who could not hold on Who fell further beneath our feet And felt the weight of soil, silt, and stone Before their eyes were sealed by sleep Aware, they could not end our plight Arms extended towards the sky... In time we'll all know where the stars fall Our mouths wide open And pointed at the sky Until this phase of dust and ash Passes over our feeble bodies We'll open the gates And greet the morning together Pass through and fall below This eternal sun With the moon only in our memories

Serene lunar ocean recedes from view A distant fog consumes Desert turned tundra Tides fall with the time Epitaphs written in sand Our lives crash with the tides Forever a deified moon Final hours lost in a starless sky Beings unknown lurking Familiar faces hug their skin Behind those eyes lurk eternity Beyond eternity is our future A world beyond grief awaits its end Lives that are passed Keep us haunted by our past Unease weaves through my bones Death is no longer feared No longer a burden Moon descending Dead oceans fill my eyes Creation now a myth The knees of giants falter Bending to the weight of the neverending sky Trapped under seas of dirt Water seeps in Suffocation inevitable My eyes wide open My sight is empty Blood trickles from my mouth And joins with the cold earth.
