You can see me But I’m not really there Lost in the void Detached from reality Anonymous shadow Severed from the soul My eyes embrace the whole world But my hands cannot reach it Flattened visions Of stirred colors Surrounded by pale shapes Living a blurry dream Can’t feel their breath As they move around me Like distant voices Coming from a different world Mind is weak and confused Everything looks so unreal Feeling like a stranger Among people that I once knew Tearing reality apart Acting in a made-up scene Climbing the walls between us But distance never fades Return to the cold cell Where I do belong Secluded in shadows Been there for too long

Step on the carpet of yellow leaves Marking the path to the sorrow realm Mind polluted by insane dreams Pulling the strings of a hollow life Sever the ties keeping your sanity Stare into a cloud of shattered glass Fall down the steep stairs of apathy Leading to a bottomless pit Misplaced, far from home Feeling an unconscious pawn Pay the price for being born No way to get out of this hell Disgraced, left alone Victim of your senseless acts Stand the cold wind of loneliness Chilling you down to the bones Time flows Seems unending Carried away Leaving trails of shame Blood stained Feeling deranged Losing the way Swallow the bitter truth Take me to the valley of the dead trees Where no one is heeding And birds have no nest Walk me to the land of the dead dreams Where hope has no meaning And sleep brings no rest Wake me from this awful nightmare Where life is a prison From where there is no escape Kill me as I lay down helpless When no one is caring And make me feel free again

Wade through the mist Walking in circles Endure a life Deprived of any meaning Watch the sand flow As the dreadful truth Slowly unfolds Before your eyes Scared to face The wrong side of yourself Hidden behind the veil Of eternal darkness Alive but not ready Gazing the world from far away Spend your days in vain Erase every painful memory Clouds fill the horizon Rain will wash you away Bringing to life Your darkest thoughts Pain becomes fear As nothing ever changes The end is getting near Choking on your mistakes Screaming poisonous words That no one will understand Consumed by withered thoughts Rotting inside your head Keeping on breathing Pretending to be alive Feeling it creeping Slowly draining your life
