Wild Rites and Ancient Songs
The November fires begin to light at night Bot just for roasting game but for glowing heat The leafs, gold and red, fitter through the air The chill of autumn's breath comes creeping through the faire Can we enjoy the day? Before the sun fades away And the ice freezes the fields Autumn fear brings winter doom Sayers know this winter will be a test But we will splendor in our blissful harvest The poor get fed for once and the rich are king to folks Pilling stores as frost slowly gathers on our coats Can we enjoy the day? Before color fades away And the creek flows no more Autumn fear brings winter doom The bell rings The countryside reeks of fear Gather your wits and heed the faint winds Store your ales friend and fatten up the hens We forget the howl of the wolf for a time We forget the children we lost The earthly brown becomes a blinding white The long days turn to long grinding night The hay is baled and the giant squash is prepared The cornucopia cracks with the bounty of the feast Elders look on with a reserved glee and grace Knowing that soon the reverend could walk this space Can we enjoy the day? Before color fades away And the creek flows no more Autumn fear brings winter doom The bell rings The village gathers to hear the song

I flip the copper piece into the barmaid's hand I slam my silver tankard down and wait for God's big plan The lute man’s tale is getting old, I’ve heard it all before I’m gonna end my night far from this tavern floor Can you blame me For wanting a bit more out of life? Salvage, what you can of the night Damage, at the point of a knife Savage, moonlight guides my way I must run forever free, a new quest every day I walk through the rabble, head past the blacksmith's forge Winding muddy streets I’ve seen a thousand times before I’m looking for anything that I haven’t seen Mystery, a call to arms, a sorceress with eyes of green The alley quakes, the walls they crack My mace it glows as my eyes go black Salvage, what you can of the night Damage, at the point of a knife Savage, moonlight guides my way I must run forever free, a new quest every day They pull the blindfold away I was drugged and beaten in a rage And as my eyes began to clear It’s the shark I’ve owed money to for years Can’t hold me down! Can’t hold me back! Slip through your ropes! Counter Attack! Savage, moonlight guides my way I must run forever free, a new quest every day

I. Blood, Ichor, Stone and Steel A certain wander is captured In the eyes of the dead The relief of fate and final words left of unsaid Now the smell of blood is masked by the climbing rose And it flows in the cracks of the stone All the blades have lost their lust Armor and shields lay strewn, no words worth to utter To fight in this world, you accept the blood ichor, stone and steel And all it reveals, the dark it conceals Do you feel the end? Do you hear the hymns of old as they fade, left untold II. Final Battle of Renivore Keep Well, what's this? I know the dash of steel Sense the violence, the men have yet to yield Round the walls, into the hold, bodies piled high Blackened tar, burning vats could not prevent the fall Banners, golden signal tattered where they lie The cry of the past with its haunted wail comes screaming through the day It's been known this day would come, but we would never kneel Great families will fall and riches disappear But we forever fight till every heart is stilled Old wounds turn scar but this one never healed Ancient rivals will go silent but lay in wait with sword and shield Fortifications break as waves of nemesis break through We attack their flank as my father sits upon his throne of doom It's been known this day would come, but we would never kneel Great families will fall and riches disappear But we forever fight till every heart is stilled I never thought I'd see the day when lands vanish and all turns gray

Fly, from my hand Caladrius Scout, the winding road ahead The fog never seems to worry us anymore They fear us once again Can't you see the people are in need? Redemption is at hand; I feel it calling after me The Mark of the Stormborn Riders Sworn to jump through the fires Written not in scrolls a soarer true A sword or shield to see you through We'll see it through From the edges of the darkened plains Pushed, but never lost the faith We ride toward the beasts that crossed the bounds of Renivore, They know not what awaits, Do you see the glow from our lavaliers? A warning resurrection nears And if our horses do not fail, then we will meet them in the vale It's the beginning of the fight The Mark of the Stormborn Riders Sworn to jump through the fires Stories written in scrolls a secret true A sword or shield to see you through They re the first wave from the dark They emerge from the Other World beyond the crypt The gate, the patrol, the threshold for the soul immortal The biles dripping from their mouths, evil in their eyes Deadly hunger, claws and fangs for which to feast I pull my sword, the rage it glows we gallop to the beasts The day has come again when we ride, driving fate to its knee

The village green is filled with grievous minds and troubled hearts The ravens circle up above, The dead are cleaned and bound In silk, rosemary incense burns The procession of the dead it starts, no one cries, ravens laugh Time and again, the dying sun draws you in But will it take thee? Back to dust and wind again To remember or rejoice the suffering it ends The wheels of time turn again Crawl to the gates of the unknown realm Plant the Rowan Bush, the portal and the key For the spirit must break free Near or far, the horns draw you in But will it save thee? From life to worms my friend In the dirt we will meet again The sound is broken and the cups are passed around Our wild rites start anew Dancing to out ancient songs, The sittings of fate are played the same Inhibition at no cost, we drink to our pain and loss We feast fro them now, we will live and beat the drum For the kings and queens of worms will forever hear the sound

Tales of Sunbursts in the sky, bringing our world to ruin A final whimper, a sigh of exhaustion and villages turned to dust Maniacs playing games with our realm The heir apparent is well aware We are the warriors who brings peace to the land But we pay the final toll. Will you remember these final days? Glory and hope is the only way No time to wait, no godsend for hope, these days will measure the worth of our lives Troubadours of the final quarrel Take our place at the end of time Ragnarok or Kali yuga Victims of fate for the end of time The Bastards swine are not pour for glory Their final battle is nigh Through flames and poison and scarlet death But our tales will forever ring on We come from the hard side of cobblestone streets Armor-dad, we are ready to fight Hold up your talisman, hold up your sword And always keep your heat pure Troubadours of the final quarrel Take our place at the end of time Ragnarok or Kali yuga Victims of fate for the end of time We retreat far below to the core of our realm Gather your strength of heart and soul, of force and iron will

Snow, it falls The his they're sagging from its weight Wood, we fell Preparations for the coming days The feasts we make merry with our song The time of year when daylights gone Our fire burning, sip your spiced ale into the the night Hold your chalice tight The Coming Tide of Yule May we toast to the nearing age Of good fortuned and peaceful days Spirits, adrift The hunt, ride in the sky so clear Kin that we've lost, known to us this sacred time of year A march of gods and ghost alike The Coming Tide of Yule May we toast to the rising age Of good fortune and peaceful days Tracks from the deer they disappear New path made by the winter king Adorned with holly crown and spear The demons flee, his bell it rings The pine and sage it burns As we trod deeper into the glowing light The log, flames out Songs, they fade from memory The frost its strings, till the green man, he comes again
